Meet Dr. Zev Nevo: A Healer's Perspective, A Patient's Empathy

Founder and Medical Director

For Dr. Zev Nevo, medicine is deeply personal. His journey to becoming a physician, with over a decade of experience, was profoundly shaped by his own experiences navigating injury and recovery. This firsthand understanding became the cornerstone of his practice philosophy: to be the kind of doctor he would want for himself—one who listens intently, sees the whole person beyond the diagnosis, and never forgets the human story behind the symptoms.

His practice is built on a clear mission: to reduce suffering, restore function, and empower individuals living with chronic pain. This is the driving force behind Body and Mind Pain Center, where he personally oversees both arms of the practice. The Body and Mind Pain Center combines innovative non-surgical interventions—including Regenerative Orthobiologics, Shockwave Therapy, and Osteopathic Manipulation—to treat the source of pain.

“Our clinic goes beyond traditional pain management by utilizing cutting-edge interventions together with compassionate and validating pain and trauma-informed Mind-Body Rehabilitation to address pain generators, and restore healthy mind and body habits. My intent is to help you empower patients to achieve lasting healing through physical and mental fitness and a personalized functional restoration program.”

Patients online frequently remark on his profound ability to listen and his compassionate, thorough approach. This feedback reflects the truly personalized, biopsychosocial model Dr. Nevo employs. His added expertise in trauma-informed care allows him and his team to foster a collaborative ecosystem of healing, ensuring patients feel safe, validated, and empowered. They often highlight the time he takes to explain complex conditions clearly, working together to develop a plan that addresses their unique needs.

Dr. Nevo’s approach is rooted in an unwavering commitment to evidence-based, fiduciary care. His dedication to continuous learning keeps him at the forefront of medical advancements. This allows him to combine traditional practices with innovative therapies, offering patients in Sherman Oaks and across Los Angeles a trusted partner dedicated to helping them reclaim their health and live their lives to the fullest.
